We're recognised for our commitment to design integrity, sustainability, and engineering excellence.
The Role
Based in South West England and working on projects throughout the UK, you'll play a key role in delivering technically sound, compliant, and buildable balcony solutions. From early-stage design through to installation, you'll provide hands-on structural insight, working closely with architects, contractors, façade consultants, and our internal teams.
This is a dynamic, solution-focused role requiring a confident engineer who can think on their feet, solve problems in real time, and bring clarity to complex site and design scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structural feasibility studies and option appraisals in pre-sales phases.
- Translate design challenges into safe, efficient, and buildable engineering solutions.
- Prepare clear, client-facing structural reports for both design and construction stages.
- Collaborate with UK and European Design Engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
- Lead structural modelling and analysis using software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, and FEM-Design.
- Attend site visits to troubleshoot, advise, and deliver immediate structural input.
- Coordinate with client-side engineers to resolve clashes and ensure compliance.
- Prioritise and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Support sales teams with technical advice and ensure proposed solutions are viable and achievable.
- Produce full calculation reports for smooth handover to operations once projects are sold.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree-qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of UK experience in structural steel, modular systems, or façade engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of British Standards, Eurocodes, and UK Building Regulations.
- Experience designing with steel, aluminium, concrete, and glass.
- Proficiency in relevant software: FEM-Design 23, IdeaStatica 24.1, AutoCAD, Mathcad, Inventor, Microsoft Office, Hilti/Fischer tools.
- Excellent communication skills — able to explain structural concepts clearly to non-engineers.
- Solutions-focused mindset with a calm, constructive approach to challenges.
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
What You’ll Get
- A high-impact role with autonomy and variety across a growing UK project portfolio.
- Opportunities to solve complex technical problems in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative, international culture that values ideas, initiative, and growth.
- Access to cutting-edge European design and manufacturing resources.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
