Tech: Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript
You’ll be joining a product company operating a globally scaled e-commerce platform and providing stewardship over quality, both strategically and operationally.
We need an experienced QE/SDET to lead the design and implementation of a modern, scalable automation architecture with Playwright and TypeScript, embedding quality signals into CI/CD, and influencing quality across web and API layers. You won’t inherit something polished; you’ll be defining it and building it. There could be scope here to explore AI-assisted testing approaches (Playwright MCP).
This role isn’t purely technical. You’ll need to raise standards across the business, tightening processes, shaping how requirements are understood, mentoring Quality Engineers, and influencing engineers and stakeholders.
We’re looking for someone with deep SDET/QE expertise who has built frameworks from scratch, understands the full SDLC, and, vitally, has the conviction and credibility to drive lasting change.
QE is valued with this company, and you’ll have the full support of the CTO and Technical Leadership team to drive this forward, and a team alongside you that are hungry to learn and work with you to bring your vision to reality.
