Java Technical Lead in Basingstoke

Role: Tech Lead (Java)

Location: London once a month

You\’ll get a genuinely flexible set-up (typically 1 day a month in central London) and because their team is distributed across the UK, this is expected to remain.

This would be particularly suitable for a Senior Software Engineer looking to move into a Tech Lead position.

The role

— Lead the technical direction for a cross-functional squad of 4

— ~60% hands-on, ~40% strategy, mentoring and architectural decisions

— Java, Spring framework, Microservices, plus some exposure to JS/TS/React (Cloud native environment – GCP.) You\’ll be setting the standard for excellence!

Process:

1) 30 minute conversation with the Head of Engineering

2) Take-home tech task (yes you can use AI…and it\’s encouraged)

3) Final 60 minute chat with the wider team (remote)
