A dynamic and fast-growing technology company is seeking a commercially minded Head of Finance to lead the UK finance function. This is a key leadership role, ideal for someone looking to progress into a Finance Director position within 1–2 years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for the UK entity
  • Provide strategic insight to guide decision-making and boost performance
  • Manage and develop a high-performing finance team
  • Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements
  • Handle all UK tax obligations (VAT, PAYE, corporation tax)
  • Own the year-end process and reporting to group finance
  • Coordinate external audits and statutory accounts
  • Ensure reporting aligns with UK GAAP and group standards
  • Act as a finance partner to UK leadership and collaborate with international teams
  • Drive improvements in financial processes and systems
  • Maintain robust controls and support risk governance

What We’re Looking For

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in a senior finance position
  • Experience in SaaS, tech, or professional services preferred
  • Proven team management and development experience
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills
  • Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • International business experience is a plus
