A hands-on payroll role supporting UK and international payroll delivery. A leading international law firm is looking to hire a Payroll Coordinator to join its London finance team. This is a practical role for someone who enjoys payroll processing, takes pride in accuracy, and is confident working to monthly deadlines in a busy professional services environment.

You will help manage the end-to-end payroll process, working closely with Finance, HR and external payroll providers to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. The role will cover monthly payroll inputs, new starters, leavers, payroll variables, P45 processing, payroll outputs and reporting, as well as responding to employee and provider queries in a clear and professional way. There is also an international element, with support for a small number of employees outside the UK and involvement in shadow payroll processing with overseas colleagues. Alongside this, you will assist with pension data uploads, HMRC RTI checks, P11D and PSA preparation, payroll-related audits and system queries.

What they’re looking for:

  • Previous payroll experience within a professional services environment
  • Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation and benefits rules
  • Experience using payroll systems, ideally ADP, with SDWorx or COUPA helpful
  • Strong Excel skills, accurate data input and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence working independently, prioritising under pressure and managing payroll queries professionally

Working pattern: Full time, permanent role.

If you enjoy payroll work that combines processing, systems, compliance and stakeholder support, this is a strong opportunity to join a high performing finance team. We are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, experiences and characteristics.
