What we are looking for
We are an established and fast-growing team with expertise in developing and delivering projects in the UK energy sector.
We are seeking an experienced, self motivated and independent individual who is passionate about creating and delivering exemplar-level quality projects to play a leading role in the Balance Power Delivery Team as we transition further to IPP (Independent Power Producer) status.
Required Knowledge and Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of five years\’ project/programme experience in the energy or highly serviced sectors (e.g. infrastructure, manufacturing, process engineering, etc.). At least two years of this should be either leading or acting in a supporting role in the initiation and delivery of multi-project programmes.
Applicants should also be:
- Genuinely and demonstrably passionate about improving the UK’s energy infrastructure.
- Able to show a proven track record of motivating and leading multidisciplinary internal and external teams to deliver exceptional results in the energy or other highly serviced sectors.
- Flexible and able to travel to and visit sites when needed.
- Enthused and energised at the prospect of participating in developing and growing a scale-up business.
- Inspiring, personable and confident in social and professional settings.
Main Duties & Objectives:
We are looking for someone who shares our passion and commitment to improving the UK\’s energy infrastructure. The successful candidate will have recent experience in and understanding the full development spectrum – from design, through procurement, to manufacture, delivery, testing and commissioning and the transition to operations/maintenance.
Applicants will also need to be capable of developing and maintaining lasting and trusted relationships with our investors, clients and our supply chain partners.
Qualifications/Skills
To be successful you will need:
- A genuine demonstrable interest in, and passion for, delivering high quality, complex multi-site projects safely, collaboratively, on time and to budget.
- To be highly resilient, energetic and agile – capable of leading projects in different phases, different regions and with different teams.
- A UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Experience in developing and maintaining positive, mutually beneficial and collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders (e.g. colleagues, supply chain, investors, etc.).
- A relevant degree or a recognised professional qualification in engineering, project management or construction management.
It may also help if you have:
- Relevant qualifications or experience in a supplementary field such as site safety, project planning, commercial management, etc.
- Recent, relevant and demonstrable experience of the UK energy market.
