Trainee Plumbing & Gas Training Officer/Assessor -Plumber/Gas Engineer

This is a trainee plumbing & gas trainer/assessor position for a qualified and experienced plumber. No previous teaching or assessing experience is required, as full training and support are provided. The role involves training and assessing apprentice learners at various sites across South East Greater London.

I am working with a client looking for a Trainer/Assessor based in South East Greater London. The client is willing to support industry-experienced gas engineers/plumbers with assessor training. The client is a well-established training provider specializing in building services apprentice training.

Package and Benefits:

• £35,000 to £36,000 basic salary + £5,000 car allowance (total £40,000 to £41,000)
• Full assessor training and qualification provided
• Company pension
• 34 days holiday
• 45p per mile mileage allowance + car allowance

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

• Fully qualified plumber with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent recognized apprenticeship
• Ideally hold gas certificates and have gas industry experience
• Driving license and use of a car
• Minimum of 5 years industry experience
• Keen interest in working in education

Job Description:

• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
• Permanent contract
• Home-based, including office work and diary planning
• Training and assessing apprentice learners at various sites across South East Greater London
• Supporting apprentices in building their NVQ portfolios
• Assessing apprentices\’ evidence and work in the workplace
• Collaborating with employers to support successful apprentice training
