This is a trainee Heavy Vehicle / HGV Mechanics Tutor post for a qualified and experienced HGV / Heavy Vehicle Technician/Mechanic. No teaching experience is required for this post and full teacher training and support is provided.

Are you a fully qualified and time served Heavy Vehicle/HGV Mechanic/Technician? Could you be interested in a Heavy Vehicle Mechanics teaching position? I am currently working with a client based in Wolverhampton that is looking for Tutors to teach apprentice learners. My client is willing to take on a qualified Heavy Vehicle/HGV mechanic/technician with industry experience and support them with teacher training.

Package and Benefits:

  • Salary £37,500 to £42,500
  • Training and development programme

Essential experience and qualifications:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle mechanics
  • At least 5 years experience as an HGV/Heavy Vehicle mechanic or technician in the industry.
  • A keen interest to work in education.

Job Description:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Permanent - Full-time
  • Provide theory and practical training to HGV/Heavy Vehicle apprentice learners in both workshop and classroom environments.
  • Curriculum, facilities and lesson planning is provided. You will be using your knowledge and experience to present and demonstrate topics and will be encouraged to share your industry experiences to give real world industry context.
