At Balance, we pride ourselves on being able to offer a unique experience to all customers at the taproom through the exploration of our range of mixed fermentation, barrel aged beers. The taproom is a key part of what we offer and is vital in conveying our story to everyone that comes in the door. As the taproom manager, you would be the face of Balance Brewing & Blending at the taproom, the first point of contact for people new to us and the familiar face to our wonderful regulars. We want to be able to share our beers with as many people as possible and this role provides the opportunity to do that in multiple ways.
As taproom manager the focus will be on:
- Developing our customer experience by continued improvements to the function and form of the taproom
- Establishing and maintaining customer relations
- Continuing and creating events predominantly at the taproom
What we’re looking for:
- At least 1 year of bar and/or event management experience
- Good knowledge & passion for beer, particularly mixed-fermentation & sour beers
- Bar maintenance and cellar management experience
- Organised and motivated with good time management, top tier customer service and proactive problem-solving skills
- Ability to take the lead and guide the development of the taproom
- Desire to grow within the company and gain skills and experience through continuous professional development
- Good understanding of health & safety, licensing & operational standards
- Event planning experience and creative ideas to drive footfall to the taproom
- Comfortable with stock management, budgeting & monthly reporting
- Social media savvy
