Are you someone living local to Hebburn who takes pride in doing a job well? We are looking for a Security Supervisor who cares about the people, place and standards around them, someone who will take ownership, lead by example and help keep our site safe, organised and welcoming.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. You will support the Head of Security with the day-to-day running of the team, oversee patrols and gatehouse activity, respond calmly to incidents, keep clear records and make sure our security standards are delivered professionally and consistently.
Your team will be the first and last people that anyone entering and leaving our facility meet with, so as the Security Supervisor you will assist the Head of Security with the day-to-day supervision of the Security team to ensure they provide a proactive, comprehensive and customer-focused security service.
You will implement and own a staff-rota system, co-ordinating security patrols, overseeing the operation of the control room and supporting the Head of Security with the implementation of Company security strategy.
As a team, you will carry out routine searches sensitively including vehicles, buildings and individuals on site. You will be responsible for the issue of access and recording of all movements within the facility. Regularly, you will take part in, and support Security Drills and Exercises arranged both in-house and by external authorities.
To maintain a log of all visitors, incidents and any other records that may be required by the client. For future reference, you will record observation reports, patrol reports, incident logs and condition reports securely, submitting detailed reports when needed. As a team, you will assist and escort visitors to their destinations within the facility.
It’s a day shift role; there may be times when events mean you need to work outside of your normal hours.
We would love to hear from someone who is reliable, observant and approachable; a good communicator who can support a team, deal with visitors confidently and respond well when things need quick thinking. An SIA Licence and supervisory experience in a similar role. Experience with CCTV, alarms, access control and accurate report writing would be great.
If you’re the kind of person who notices the details, looks after your team and takes responsibility for the job in front of you, this could be a great opportunity to make a real difference on a local site.
