Purpose of Job: To maintain and develop the BAKO Durham External Sales teams, with the aim of growing turnover and profit for the business. You will be required to show strong leadership and motivational skills.
Main Duties:
- Development and motivation of External Sales teams via regular field visits, meetings and performance appraisals.
- Development of high-level sales and account management skills within the Company.
- Evaluate and gain a concise understanding of the marketplace and customers’ businesses and requirements.
- Demonstrate and maintain the highest possible levels of customer care with a view to offering a 'best in class' service via your Sales teams at all times.
- Development of the Sales Team such that they are able to work to achieve the annual sales and margin targets, while being fully empowered to make their own decisions within the parameters set therein.
- Key Account Development.
- Routinely monitoring Margins delivered in line with guidelines.
- Building and implementation of an annual sales budget and rolling sales forecast.
- The sales and profit of the specific designated BAKO sales region.
- Assisting in the creation and the implementation of a strategy for winning business opportunities, based upon existing and future BNW Group strengths.
- Planning and executing actions to develop and nurture relationships with key contacts within both direct and indirect channels, in order to enhance revenue streams.
- Management of specified key and local accounts in the region.
- The Sales Team - driving the team to achieve all targets, and ensuring sufficient, appropriately trained individuals are in place, both in situ and reserve.
- Updating and approving new Customers and their details; annually reviewing the Customer database to ensure it remains qualitative.
- Ensuring records, data and information are constantly updated and used to exploit market potential.
- Development and implementation of agreed KPI’s for the sales team.
- Ensuring that the sales Team record and report on their functions/activities.
- Spending a minimum of 1 day per week in the 'field’ with the Sales Team.
- Establishing, maintaining and improving Procedures and Works Instructions within the Sales Departments to ensure compliance with Customers' requirements.
- Regularly checking that Customers' requirements are being satisfied, while ensuring that all Company contacts with customers, third parties and centres of excellence reflect the highest level of professionalism.
- To act as an ambassador for BAKO Group Ltd, seeking to promote the Company’s services wherever and to whomever possible.
- Overall responsibility for the management and motivation of the external Sales team.
- Liaison with MD to enable joint ownership and responsibility of strategy and customers.

- Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety, as well as that of others who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
- Promptly report any hazards, unsafe practices, incidents, or near misses to your line manager or the Health & Safety team.
- Cooperate with management on all matters relating to health and safety, including attending mandatory training and following issued guidance or instructions.
- Use equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) properly and as instructed to minimise risk.
- Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the identification and control of workplace hazards.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety by actively engaging in health and safety initiatives and suggestions.
