What we do
This particular role is at our Bakkavor Meals site in Park Royal - West London. Split across 3 factories and 1 distribution centre. The factories make chilled ready meals, houmous dips, deli products & savoury accompaniments and employs over 2,000 people.
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Process Development Manager to join Bakkavor Meals London. The role of the Process function is to develop manufacturing capability to enable the business to deliver volume from product concepts. Once a product concept has been signed off, Process will work across all functions and the customer to produce product in line with food safety and technical standards, H&S, Financial and Commercial expectations.
Accountabilities:
- Customer management: Building relationships & trust in department and business by providing a flexible but pragmatic approach. Point of contact sharing knowledge and experience internally and externally.
- Compliance: Ensures & challenges audit readiness to meet business and customer needs demonstrating a drive towards best practice.
- People Management/Leadership: Provides direction for the team, if site supports one, from business objectives. Develops the team by coaching and by setting stretch objectives in line with business and customer target or establishes clear, agreed objectives for themselves if working in a smaller unit.
- Critical path: Leading the delivery of the Critical path for projects across categories & customers from project definition to launch. Delivers the trial programme against the critical path to successfully launch products against timelines, achieving customer requirements.
- Accountable for delivery of NPD products within defined project costs and margins.
- Problem Solving: Provides direction in problem solving guidance. Demonstrate problem solving skills and root cause analyses with a consistent and proactive approach.

- Strong preference for process development in fresh food manufacturing.
- Experienced in process management with sound operational and technical experience at site level.
- Demonstrates good organisational and influencing skills and an ability to facilitate across all levels of the business.
- Innovative thinking with the ability to work "within the day to day".
- Commercially minded, monitors initiatives with agreed processes.
- Communication style that engages multi discipline teams to get results.
- Experienced People Manager with a track record in developing people and teams.
