What we do: This role is based at our Bakkavor Salads Bo'ness site, which employs over 1,000 people and produces food-to-go salads and salad accompaniments to a number of customers.
About the role: In this busy, exciting and hands-on role, you will lead a section of the Logistics team, ensuring that products are received, stored and shipped accurately and efficiently in line with site procedures, GMP and H&S. You will manage and control all materials handling equipment and transport within your area, ensuring effective communication and conducting team briefs regularly. You will also manage improvement activities including KPIs, waste management, and production control processes.
Accountabilities:
- Complete Return to Work interviews, attend daily review meetings and team briefings.
- Constructively challenge performance of area - quality, throughput rate and crew size.
- Identify performance management/training requirements within the area and manage the process/delivery.
- Work to Safety & Quality standards, collaborating with other functions.
About you: To be successful in this role, you will need to be a positive and motivated team player with strong leadership skills and attention to detail. Previous experience within logistics and warehouse is ideal. Communication skills and good IT skills for administrative duties are essential.
