About the role Our Infrastructure and Operational Technology teams are responsible for the delivery, management, and administration of infrastructure technology. This entails the management of circa 5500 users, 1000 servers, 1700 Network devices, globally across 22 locations in the UK and 5 in the US. We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Product Specialist to join our Client Domain team to ensure the End User Devices that underpin the Groups UK & international businesses – run at optimal performance. Role Accountabilities The teams main objective is to develop, implement and maintain the products that ensure End User Services are fit for purpose and deliver correct levels of integrity, availability, customer experience, and security – to adhere to technology and business strategy. In this key role, you will be responsible for the effective delivery of the lifecycle management of End User products. This includes delivery of innovative solutions, supporting and providing knowledge transfer to other support teams and guiding other areas of the department towards technical solutions. Playing a critical role with the technical design creation and evaluation of products against design criteria to aid product direction and selection will also be top of your agenda. About you Ideally, you will have previous experience within a similar role with analytical problem-solving skills that will enable you to identify gaps in the available information – to understand issues or situations and then devise appropriate resolutions. Attention to detail and creativity will be key, as will a proactive approach to anticipate opportunities for systems, service or product improvement or development, networks. You will have familiarisation of configuration management, current and emerging standards associated with IT practice, networking and communications, operational service architecture and risk management.
