Marine Operative

Bakkafrost Scotland is recruiting a Marine Operative to support its salmon farming operations at Stronachullin near Ardrishaig. This role suits someone motivated to work in a marine environment while contributing to fish health, welfare and site operations.

The role

• You will work under the direction of the Senior Marine Operative and Marine Site Manager.
• You will support the day to day running of the marine site.
• You will assist with husbandry tasks to ensure fish health and welfare standards are maintained.
• You will operate in line with strict health and safety and quality procedures.
• You will take part in a weekend rota as part of the contractual working pattern.

Working pattern

• Full time permanent role.
• Contractual overtime included with at least one in three weekends.
• Overtime paid daily at enhanced rates.

What we are looking for

• You are reliable and comfortable working outdoors in a marine setting.
• You are able to follow operational and safety procedures.
• You work well as part of a team.
• Previous aquaculture or marine experience is helpful but not essential.
