Established over 145 years ago, Bakers of Danbury are a privately owned Essex based heritage building contractor with an excellent reputation for conservation expertise and quality.
We work across Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Kent and Hertfordshire as well as into east, north and central London.
We are looking to recruit 2 x multi traders to join our busy Special Works Department.
This is an exciting and varied role which involves working on some of the finest heritage, church, residential and historical buildings in the area.
The successful applicant will have an excellent track record being skilled in all trades including carpentry, plastering and decorating finishes.
An eye for detail, a keen interest in building preservation and a pride in one’s work is essential.
Requirements for the Multi Trader position
- Experience and skilled in various trades tasks.
- Basic health & safety knowledge.
- Experience of working on historical and listed buildings would be an advantage.
- Driving licence.
- To be able to travel to project sites.
- Positive attitude, good communicator and team player.

The Bakers of Danbury Special Works Department works on a wide variety of projects involving the restoration and repair of historical buildings, listed properties, public houses and traditional homes.
We work with both commercial and residential clients.
We are renowned for our high quality work and skilled craftsmanship using materials and methods that focus on preserving properties and combine the traditional with modern techniques.
