As a Warehouse & Yard Supervisor, you will lead and oversee daily Warehouse & Yard operations, ensuring the effective execution of inventory management, asset control, logistics coordination, and supply chain processes across the Kirkhill Road Facility. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, driving operational performance, ensuring compliance with company standards, and developing a high‑performing team that supports business objectives safely and efficiently.

As a Warehouse & Yard Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

Operational Leadership

  • Leading, coaching, and developing Warehouse & Yard personnel to achieve operational objectives.
  • Providing daily supervision and direction to the Warehouse & Yard team, ensuring activities are executed safely and efficiently.
  • Managing resource allocation, workload distribution, and workforce planning to meet business requirements.
  • Fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Inventory & Asset Management

  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory, assets, and customer‑owned stock within Warehouse & Yard systems.
  • Overseeing cycle count programs, annual inventory counts, and asset verification activities.
  • Reviewing inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitoring inventory performance metrics and driving initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and control.

Warehouse Operations

  • Ensuring all receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and yard activities are completed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitoring operational performance and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and service levels.
  • Supporting capacity planning and warehouse optimization initiatives.
  • Ensuring material‑handling equipment and warehouse assets are maintained and utilized effectively.

Compliance, Quality & HSE

  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, quality standards, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Promoting a strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture and ensuring adherence to all HSE procedures.
  • Supporting internal and external audits and ensuring all required documentation is maintained accurately.
  • Driving corrective and preventive actions resulting from audits, investigations, and operational reviews.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partnering with Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, Planning, Finance, Quality, and Customer Service teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of inventory, asset, and logistics challenges.
  • Supporting regional and global warehouse improvement initiatives and best‑practice implementation.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyzing warehouse and inventory performance metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Leading and supporting Lean, productivity, and standardization initiatives.
  • Driving process improvements focused on safety, quality, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have proven experience in Warehouse, Yard, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Materials Management operations.
  • Bring previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a Warehouse & Yard environment.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of inventory control, stock reconciliation, warehouse processes, and asset management principles.
  • Have experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for inventory and warehouse management.
  • Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Have the ability to lead teams, influence change, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Possess knowledge of warehouse safety standards, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
  • Demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Have excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Supply Chain, Warehousing, or Logistics.
  • Experience leading inventory accuracy, warehouse optimization, or continuous improvement projects.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence experience is preferred.
