As a Senior Procurement Specialist - Direct Sourcing you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods. You will apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing PO, from RFQ (request for quote), negotiation, PO placement, maintenance and follow up/fulfilment.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
  • Managing problems and schedule changes.
  • Updating ERP.
  • Advising Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in the own field.
  • Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
  • Contributing to project as a team member or leading small projects.

Work goals typically take 3-6 months to complete with results/impact typically occurring 2-12 months after the event.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have considerable experience within direct sourcing, procurement and supply chain, preferably within a Manufacturing or Engineering, Oil and Gas Business.
  • Have experience in SAP/Oracle.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as established interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Have a permanent work permit in the UK.
