As a Mechanical Technician, you will build and assemble electrical and hydraulic control units, supporting the manufacture and testing of directional control valves and associated systems.
You will work from engineering drawings and routings to deliver assemblies that meet quality, cost, and lead‑time requirements, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.
As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for
- Mechanically assembling hydraulic systems and control units.
- Building and testing small directional control valves.
- Carrying out automated flushing and pressure testing activities.
- Working to engineering diagrams, drawings, and routings.
- Flushing units to ensure hydraulic cleanliness.
- Fitting and torquing bolts in sequence to required build standards.
- Building assemblies to meet prescribed quality standards, cost targets, and agreed lead times.
- Feeding back quality issues using established company procedures.
- Maintaining health and safety standards within the workshop environment.
- Performing additional tasks as specified by the Team Leader.
