What You’ll Be Doing

  • As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll take the technical lead on medium sized projects and support larger programmes, ensuring our clients get safe, efficient and well considered designs every time.
  • Deliver structural design and consultancy services across a variety of sectors.
  • Produce high quality drawings, reports, specifications and calculations.
  • Check and approve designs to maintain robust quality and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with architects, MEP, civil and other disciplines to deliver fully coordinated solutions.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier information for technical compliance.
  • Support and mentor early career engineers and technicians.
  • Occasionally manage smaller projects, including budgets, timelines and client relationships.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Strong structural design and technical detailing experience
  • Knowledge of UK standards, Eurocodes and CDM regulations
  • Experience delivering projects in at least one BakerHicks sector
  • Eligibility for security clearance
  • Chartered or Incorporated status (or working towards it)
  • Experience leading small teams or contributing to bids
  • Familiarity with MasterSeries, Staad, Tedds or similar
