At BakerHicks, our multidisciplinary teams are shaping the future of the UK’s infrastructure across the defence, nuclear, power, and public sectors. And right now, we’re looking for a Senior Project Manager with strong design management experience to help drive this critical work forward. This role isn’t just about keeping projects on track. It’s about understanding the technical interfaces, guiding design teams, managing delivery—and taking full ownership from start to finish. You’ll be doing things like: Leading design-led, multidisciplinary projects from award to handover Managing client relationships and internal teams Overseeing design programmes, risk, scope, and budgets Driving performance through collaboration and clarity Mentoring junior PMs and future leaders You’ll need to bring: ️ Background in design management or project management within a design consultancy ️ Knowledge of technical coordination across civil, structural, and MEP disciplines ️ Experience with NEC or JCT contracts and commercial delivery ️ Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills ️ Experience in the defence, nuclear, power, or public sectors ️ Strong communication and team coordination capabilities Hybrid – London | Warwick | Manchester ️ Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) Degree-qualified and ideally chartered (APM, ICE, CIOB, RIBA – or working toward) This is your chance to step out from behind the scenes and own delivery in an environment that values leadership, design intelligence, and technical credibility.
