Drive quality where it really matters. This is a contract opportunity within our central Quality team, supporting a major live client project on-site in Dalry. Based in the heart of Scotland’s industrial landscape, you’ll be embedded within the client environment, working closely with delivery and construction teams to ensure quality is upheld at every stage of mechanical and piping installation. It’s a highly visible, hands-on role where you’ll play a critical part in driving standards, influencing stakeholders, and ensuring compliance in a complex, fast-paced project setting—with real responsibility and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on project outcomes.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading on QA/QC activities across fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning
  • Interpreting P&IDs, isometrics, and welding procedures to verify compliance
  • Carrying out inspections on piping, welding, hydrotesting, flange management and supports
  • Reviewing ITPs, defining witness/hold points, and ensuring quality plans land on site
  • Working closely with construction teams, vendors and subcontractors to drive quality outcomes
  • Managing non-conformances, ensuring issues are resolved properly — not patched over
  • Owning quality documentation and handover dossiers for system completion
  • Supporting vendor inspections, SATs and regulatory compliance with notified bodies

What we’re looking for:

  • Background in Mechanical Process Engineering
  • Strong working knowledge of piping systems, welding, and mechanical equipment installation
  • Strong knowledge of compliance standards/legislation – PSSR/ PE(S)R and CDM (UK)
  • Experience in inspection, QA/QC, and construction environments
  • Certifications such as CSWIP, API, CWI or ISO 9001 (desirable)
