With the team growing, this Principal Engineer role will provide you with the opportunity to lead project teams, manage complex civil engineering designs, and contribute to the continued success of our department.
You will be responsible for leading civil engineering design delivery across multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence, cost efficiency, and quality assurance. You will be joining a team that works across a range of sectors, including Life Sciences, Defence, Industrial, Power, Transportation, and the Public Sector.
- Lead civil engineering design delivery for major projects, ensuring technical, cost, and quality objectives are met.
- Manage and mentor junior and senior engineers, supporting their professional development.
- Provide technical leadership in areas such as drainage, earthworks, flood risk assessment, site investigations, and highways.
- Develop project budgets, control change, and provide regular progress updates to senior leadership.
- Promote innovation and sustainability in civil engineering solutions.
Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE), with at least 2-4 years post-chartership experience. Strong technical expertise in civil engineering design, including drainage, earthworks, flood risk, and minor roads/bridges. Experience leading project teams and managing engineering delivery across multiple disciplines. Ability to manage budgets, control change, and ensure project profitability. High levels of commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong leadership qualities with a focus on mentoring and developing engineers. Eligible for SC clearance and holds a full UK driving licence.
