Are you a Geotechnical Engineer who enjoys taking projects from the ground up, literally? Do you want exposure to a wide range of sectors, real design responsibility, and the opportunity to develop your technical capability towards chartership? We’re looking for a motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering high‑quality geotechnical design solutions across major infrastructure and building projects.
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of projects, from early concept design through to construction support. Projects span a diverse portfolio including rail, highways, power, aviation, defence, public sector and life sciences, offering genuine variety and technical challenge.
- Delivering geotechnical design and specification packages for a wide range of projects
- Working on foundations, retaining structures, earthworks and ground improvement solutions
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (or equivalent)
- Experience gained in an engineering consultancy environment at graduate or engineer level a must, this is not a graduate role, experience is required
- A strong understanding of soil mechanics and ground engineering principles
- Exposure to geotechnical design including shallow and piled foundations, retaining walls and earthworks
- Drivers licence and ability to travel to sites
- Willing and able to obtain Security Clearance
- Experience using geotechnical design software, ideally GEO5
- Project experience within sectors such as rail, highways, power, aviation or public sector
- Work on technically varied, real‑world projects across multiple sectors
- Gain end‑to‑end project exposure, from design through to site delivery
- Clear support towards chartership and professional development
