Senior or Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer – Baker Hicks

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Principal Geo-Environmental Engineer to join Baker Hicks, supporting the expansion of our Land Quality and Geo-Environmental capability across the UK.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience within a Geo-Environmental or Engineering Consultancy at Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer or equivalent level
  • Chartered membership (Soc Env, Geological Society, CIWEM or similar)
  • Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Applied Geology or related discipline
  • Experience delivering Phase 1 and Phase 2 reports and risk assessments
  • Strong understanding of ground investigation techniques and sampling methods
  • Familiarity with current UK standards and guidance
  • Commercial awareness including budgets and delivery timelines
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Soil classification tools such as Haz Waste Online or WM3
  • Input to fee proposals
  • Sector experience in aviation, infrastructure, nuclear or life sciences
