Are you a Geotechnical Engineer who enjoys seeing projects take shape from the ground up? This role is ideal for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer nearing completion of a graduate programme, or an early-career Engineer looking to step into more complex projects while progressing towards chartership.

We’re looking for a motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality geotechnical solutions across major infrastructure and building projects. As a Geotechnical Engineer, you’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle – from early concept design through to construction support. Our work spans a wide range of sectors including rail, highways, power, aviation, defence, public sector and life sciences – offering genuine variety and technical challenge.

You’ll also gain valuable site experience through supervising ground investigations and supporting construction activities, giving you a strong balance between design and practical delivery.

  • Deliver geotechnical design and specification packages across varied projects
  • Design foundations, retaining structures, earthworks and ground improvement solutions
  • Supervise site investigations and support construction activities

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (or equivalent)
  • Experience within an engineering consultancy at Graduate/Engineer level (not a fresh graduate role)
  • Strong understanding of soil mechanics and ground engineering principles
  • Experience in geotechnical design (foundations, retaining walls, earthworks)
  • Site experience supporting ground investigations or construction
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to site
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (please ensure eligibility before applying)
  • Experience using geotechnical design software such as GEO5
  • Sector experience in rail, highways, power, aviation or public sector
