Help Build the Infrastructure That Powers the Future – With a Focus on Drainage Design. We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our growing team at BakerHicks, delivering high-quality designs for power and energy infrastructure projects including substations, grid connections, and renewable energy facilities. You will also work on exciting projects in industrial, defence, and transportation sectors.

  • Leading the design and specification of drainage systems, external works, earthworks, and utilities for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Developing surface water management strategies, sustainable drainage solutions (SuDS), and flood risk assessments.
  • Reviewing calculations and subcontractor designs for compliance and quality.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering projects in one or more sectors.
  • Strong understanding of drainage design principles, earthworks, and external works.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD (or similar) for modelling, layouts, and draughting designs.
  • Good knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, CDM regulations, and BIM processes.
  • Eligibility for security clearance (essential for certain projects).
