Expression of Interest – Project Engineers (Civil & Structural) | Power Team
Location: UK-wide | Hybrid working options available (main team in Manchester)
At BakerHicks, we are shaping the future of energy infrastructure. Our Power team delivers complex, high-impact civil and structural engineering solutions that support substations, grid upgrades, and the transition to a low-carbon future.
As we continue to grow, we are inviting expressions of interest from experienced Civil and Structural Project Engineers who are passionate about working on technically challenging, safety-critical projects across the UK power sector. This is not a live vacancy, but if you would like to be considered for future opportunities, we would love to hear from you.
What we look for:
- Degree-qualified in civil or structural engineering
- Experience as a civil or structural engineer designing on projects based in the UK or Europe
- Chartered or actively working toward chartership (ICE, IStructE or equivalent)
- Proven experience working on projects within the UK, ideally in regulated environments
- A background in substation or power infrastructure projects is highly desirable
- Strong technical skills in reinforced concrete and steel structures
- Solid understanding of CDM regulations and relevant British Standards
- Collaborative, detail-focused professionals who thrive in multidisciplinary teams
