BakerHicks is seeking expressions of interest from Civil and Structural Engineers on various levels with experience in the power sector to support a growing portfolio of complex and high-impact projects. This is an opportunity to be part of multidisciplinary teams delivering critical infrastructure that supports the energy transition.
You will contribute to the design and delivery of civil and structural solutions across a range of power sector projects, working closely with electrical, mechanical, and project delivery teams. Projects span from early feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
- Civil and structural design for substations, including foundations and steel structures
- Design of cable routes, trenches, and ducting systems
- Site development works including earthworks and drainage
- Structural assessment and retrofit of existing assets
Project exposure includes:
- Substation new builds, upgrades, and extensions
- Renewable energy integration including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems
- Data centre power infrastructure
- Industrial electrification and decarbonisation
Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
