As our Civil & Structural team continues to grow, remaining an integral part of our broader team, we are seeking an enthusiastic Principal Engineer to support and direct large projects, or several smaller ones, within the Power sector as part of this expanding division.
The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in project delivery and will be eager to guide graduate engineers and technicians in technical design and project management. A demonstrated ability to manage project delivery within quality, budget, and schedule constraints is crucial, and experience in the power sector is greatly valued.
Key Objectives- Ensure project teams manage and deliver single- and/or multi-disciplinary projects to cost, schedule and quality criteria
- Ensure project teams have appropriate skills and resources in place
- Direct aspects of infrastructure design work on a range of project sizes
- Ensure compliance with business quality and management systems
- Contribute to the wider development of the C&S (Power team) department capabilities
- Develop and mentor junior staff
- HNC/ HND Civil Engineering and / or recognised Civil Engineering Degree
- Chartered Civil/ Structural Engineer CEng MICE/ MIStructE
- Professional membership with an appropriate body (ICE, APM, CIHT, IHE etc.)
- Experience in managing project delivery
- Experienced in directing project teams
- Technically proficient in Infrastructure design and co-ordination
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
- Full UK Driving Licence
