This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer to join BakerHicks, supporting the expansion of our Land Quality and Geo-Environmental capability across the UK.
The Team and Projects:
- Work across infrastructure, aviation, nuclear, life sciences and public sector projects.
- Deliver Geo-Environmental and Ground Engineering outputs across project lifecycles.
- Prepare and review Phase 2 interpretative reports and risk assessments.
- Undertake ground gas risk assessments in line with BS8485 and CIRIA guidance.
- Specify and support ground investigations, including laboratory testing.
- Review technical work produced by junior engineers and graduates.
- Review subcontractor reports for technical quality and compliance.
- Manage project budgets, timelines and delivery expectations.
- Contribute to the development of Geo-Environmental services.
Experience required:
- Experience within a Geo-Environmental or Engineering Consultancy at Engineer or Senior Engineer level.
- Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Applied Geology or related discipline.
- Experience delivering Phase 1 and Phase 2 reports and risk assessments.
- Commercial awareness including budgets and delivery timelines.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Sector experience in aviation, infrastructure, nuclear or life sciences.
