This role offers the chance to take ownership of ground engineering delivery — from feasibility to detailed design — while contributing to high-profile projects alongside some of the industry\’s top specialists. You’ll also have opportunities to mentor junior engineers , lead design packages, and collaborate across multiple disciplines. Deliver geotechnical designs and specifications from concept through to construction. Address risks including soft soils, slope stability, mining legacies, and earthworks design. Design foundations, retaining walls, soil nails, anchors, and more. Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Geology (or equivalent). MSc or PhD in a relevant geotechnical field is desirable. Strong knowledge and experience on UK ground engineering projects. Proficiency in geotechnical design software (GEO5 desirable). Strong understanding of ground risks and soil mechanics. Experience in ground investigation and supervision. Excellent report writing and communication skills. Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel for short-term site work. PTS certification is a bonus but not essential.
