Our work spans a wide range of sectors including rail, highways, power, aviation, defence, public sector and life sciences – offering genuine variety and technical challenge. You’ll also gain valuable site experience through supervising ground investigations and supporting construction activities, giving you a strong balance between design and practical delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver geotechnical design and specification packages across varied projects
  • Design foundations, retaining structures, earthworks and ground improvement solutions
  • Develop ground models and derive characteristic parameters
  • Prepare desk studies, ground investigation specifications and technical reports
  • Supervise site investigations and support construction activities
  • Work in line with Eurocodes, British Standards and CDM regulations
  • Collaborate within a fully integrated, multi-disciplinary team
  • Stay up to date with industry best practice and emerging design techniques

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (or equivalent)
  • Experience within an engineering consultancy at Graduate/Engineer level (not a fresh graduate role)
  • Strong understanding of soil mechanics and ground engineering principles
  • Experience in geotechnical design (foundations, retaining walls, earthworks)
  • Working knowledge of Eurocode 7, British Standards and CDM requirements
  • Site experience supporting ground investigations or construction
  • Actively working towards chartership (ICE, Geological Society or similar)
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to site
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (please ensure eligibility before applying)

Desirable

  • Experience using geotechnical design software such as GEO5
  • Sector experience in rail, highways, power, aviation or public sector

Why Join Us?

  • Work on technically challenging, real-world projects across multiple sectors
  • Gain full project lifecycle exposure – from concept through to construction
  • Structured support towards chartership and professional development
  • Be part of a collaborative team where your input genuinely makes an impact
