We’re looking for a Senior Structural Engineer with experience in the Power and Energy sector to support the delivery of critical UK electricity infrastructure projects. This role offers the chance to work on high‑profile schemes across Transmission and Distribution, substations, HV and HVDC systems, and National Grid projects, where structural engineering plays a vital role in keeping the country connected.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading structural design packages or taking ownership of key elements within Power and Energy infrastructure projects
- Delivering high‑quality structural calculations, drawings, models, reports and specifications
- Supporting schemes across Transmission and Distribution (T&D) networks, electricity infrastructure, substations, HV and HVDC assets
- Applying UK structural design codes, standards and best practice within regulated Power sector environments
- Carrying out detailed structural analysis using industry‑standard software
- Working closely with civil, electrical and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated design solutions
- Contributing to project programmes and providing progress updates to senior engineers
- Supporting tenders, fee proposals and technical scope development for Power sector work
- Introducing practical, buildable and sustainable structural solutions suited to energy infrastructure
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting capability development within the Power team
What You’ll Bring
- Chartered or near‑Chartered Engineer (CEng MIStructE or CEng MICE with strong structural focus) - will consider someone with AIStructE
- Demonstrable experience delivering structural design within the Power or Energy sector
- Exposure to UK electricity infrastructure projects, such as: Transmission and Distribution (T&D) networks, substations and associated civil and structural works, HV and HVDC infrastructure, National Grid or equivalent regulated utility providers
- Strong understanding of UK structural design codes, standards and assurance processes
- High proficiency in structural analysis and design software, with confidence reviewing and checking models
- Experience working within integrated multidisciplinary design teams, particularly alongside electrical disciplines
- Understanding of CDM duties, construction risk and structural safety
- CSCS card, eligibility for SC clearance, and a full UK driving licence
