About Our Graduate Programme

At BakerHicks we offer a dynamic two-year Graduate scheme - an exceptional launchpad for your career as a future Assistant Design Manager. Our program uniquely combines technical expertise with professional development through two enriching learning journeys. You'll dive into hands-on experiences alongside our industry-leading teams, equipping you with the essential skills and knowledge to thrive in your engineering career.

From day one, you'll benefit from a personalised on-the-job training plan tailored to the HV department. This approach will not only allow you to apply your technical knowledge in real-world settings but also provide ongoing support from experienced professionals. You’ll actively contribute to a variety of projects, gaining invaluable experience every step of the way. We are also committed to enhancing your essential soft skills, ensuring you develop a well-rounded skill set that complements your technical abilities with effective communication, collaboration, and leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing awareness and knowledge of the design lifecycle and information management standards.
  • Supporting document control, drawing reviews, managing RFI’s (requests for information) and design issue logs with support from the team.
  • Working with the senior design manager to proactively drive the design forward, to meet client requirements.
  • Demonstrating reliability and attention to detail in checking and coordinating deliverables.
