We are working with a highly regarded, award-winning professional services firm in London that is looking to appoint a US/UK Tax Manager into its specialist Trusts & Family Office / Family Wealth team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cross-border tax professional to join a collaborative and entrepreneurial team advising US-connected clients with wealth, trust, and estate structures.

The opportunity
In this role, you’ll manage a varied portfolio of US-connected private clients, with a particular focus on individuals and families holding income and assets through trusts and estates. You’ll be responsible for overseeing client delivery, supporting junior team members, and contributing to the wider operational success of the team. This is a strong opportunity for someone who combines solid US/UK trust and estate tax knowledge with the confidence to manage relationships, guide junior staff, and contribute commercially within a growing specialist practice.
Key responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of US-connected private clients, including trust and estate-related matters
- Advising on US/UK trust and estate tax issues with sensitivity and technical accuracy
- Taking ownership of day-to-day client relationships and delivering a high standard of service
- Supporting department work planning and contributing to the wider management of the team
- Line managing, coaching, and developing more junior team members
- Delivering appraisals and supporting technical and client-handling development within the team
- Contributing to the wider success of the business through strong operational and client delivery performance
- Building deeper technical capability while broadening your leadership and people-management skills
About you
- Strong experience in US/UK private client tax, ideally with exposure to trusts and estates
- Comfortable managing a client portfolio and acting as a trusted point of contact
- Confident supervising and developing junior team members
- Strong communication skills and a professional, relationship-led approach
- Technically strong, organised, and commercially aware
- Dual qualifications such as EA / ATT / CTA / STEP are highly desirable
- Exceptional candidates with qualification in either the US or UK may also be considered
