As a Senior or Principal Water Environment Consultant you will lead and grow the Water Environment team to resolve your client’s flood risk and drainage issues, and to deliver environmentally positive solutions to their broader challenges.

Job Purpose
As a Senior / Principal Water Environment Consultant, your role will be to lead and grow the Water Environment team through winning and delivering high quality work for clients by supporting them in resolving their flood risk and drainage issues, including flood modelling and design of SUDs and natural flood management projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the water environment team
- Identifying solutions to client problems
- Flood risk assessment and scheme design
- Preparation of tenders and quotes
- Project management
- Represent the company to clients, suppliers and prospects
- Provide mentoring support and training to junior colleagues
- Reviewing technical work
Requirements
- Degree in related subject, and / or relevant professional experience
- Experience of flood risk assessment and flood modelling, natural flood management and SUDs design
- Enthusiastic commitment to the role of consultancy in improving environmental and sustainability outcomes whist being sensitive to and considerate of needs of clients, colleagues and other stakeholders
- Experience within a commercial consultancy role.
- Pro-active solution focused
- Flexible approach to work, ability to work on multiple projects
- Excellent report writing skills
