About the Role

As our Baby Room Leader, you\’ll be at the heart of our nursery\’s success — leading a team that creates a safe, stimulating, and emotionally secure environment for our youngest learners. You\’ll inspire your team to deliver exceptional care and learning experiences, ensuring every baby feels loved, nurtured, and supported as they take their first steps on their learning journey.

You\’ll also:

Lead and oversee planning, record keeping, and room routines.

Ensure your team is well-organised, motivated, and following all nursery policies and procedures.

Communicate clearly with your team, ensuring new ideas and updates are shared and implemented effectively.

Manage staffing and ratios, ensuring a calm and consistent environment for children and staff alike.

Support and mentor students and new practitioners, modelling outstanding practice and professionalism.

Create a stimulating and engaging environment, rich in language, creativity, and sensory play.

Oversee health, safety, and hygiene standards, keeping the room and resources clean and inviting.

Act as a key person, supporting children\’s emotional wellbeing and maintaining strong partnerships with parents.

Support children\’s language development, independence, and personal care routines with kindness and patience.

Champion inclusive practice and uphold the nursery\’s safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.

Work closely with the management team, contributing to meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
