The Warehouse Team Leader (Nights) is responsible for supervising a specific team within the warehouse, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. This role reports to the Shift Leader and focuses on frontline team performance and task execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of warehouse operatives during the night shift
- Allocate daily tasks such as picking, packing, loading, or replenishment
- Monitor individual and team performance, ensuring productivity targets are met
- Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and support to team members
- Ensure adherence to health & safety procedures at all times
- Maintain accuracy in stock handling and order fulfilment
- Report any issues, delays, or concerns to the Shift Leader promptly
- Assist in resolving minor operational problems within the team
- Conduct team briefings and ensure clear communication of daily objectives
- Promote a positive and motivated team environment
Skills & Experience
- Experience working in a warehouse environment (supervisory experience preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and manage a small team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic problem-solving ability
- Understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices
- Ability to work night shifts consistently
- MHE Trained (counterbalance/Bendi)
- First Aid trained
Shifts/Working Hours: work 4 over 7 Days, 12-hour shifts. Weeks run from Sunday to Saturday for operational purposes.
Shift pattern
- Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
Salary: £34,000 - £35,000 per annum.
