Main Purpose of the Role
This role will focus on improving efficiency, implementing systems, and ensuring operational processes support both service delivery and product-based activities. The successful candidate will have strong experience in logistics, scheduling, route optimisation, and operational improvement methodologies such as Lean Management. The Operations Manager will play a key role in improving workflows, supporting teams, and driving operational excellence across service and product functions.
Shift: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (flexible)
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex scheduling and route optimisation to maximise efficiency and service delivery.
- Lead the implementation and integration of route optimisation software and operational systems.
- Apply Lean Management principles to identify process improvements and eliminate operational waste.
- Oversee logistics, warehouse operations, and stock management processes.
- Ensure effective Goods In/Goods Out processes and optimise stock placement within warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Work closely with leadership to improve operational performance and scalability.
- Support strategic purchasing and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Lead and develop operational teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage and resolve operational conflicts through strong negotiation and communication.
- Contribute to HR-related processes including hiring, investigations, performance management, and disciplinary procedures when required.
- Support operational projects, including system upgrades and integration with ERP/WMS platforms.

- Knowledge of strategic purchasing, Goods In/Out operations, and warehouse optimisation.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems, including system integration projects.
- Background in warehouse and logistics operations.
- Route optimisation experience from a logistics or haulage environment.
- Understanding of HR processes including hiring, investigations, and disciplinary procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification
- AGILE or PRINCE2 Project Management certification
