Baker Group are pleased to be working alongside our client based in YO19. Due to continued business growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit Warehouse Operative with Counterbalance Licence.
Monday to Thursday 06.00am – 6.00pm - £14.02ph Or 6.00pm -06.00am £15.02ph (training on days for 2 weeks)
Driving Licence Required: Full UK driving licence.
Any additional qualifications: Counterbalance Licence
Job Purpose of Warehouse Operative
The Warehouse Operative is responsible for assisting in the safe operation of site functions such as Warehouse, Blending shed and Mill and vehicle loading and unloading of raw materials and feeds (bulk & bags) to meet the business needs.
Job Tasks for Warehouse Operative
- Packing and bagging products, including lifting and carrying weights of up to 25kg.
- Accepting deliveries, safely unloading and correctly storing raw materials and other goods.
- Picking and loading products onto Company vehicles for delivery and customers own vehicles if collecting.
- Managing stock rotation of raw materials and bagged feeds.
- Managing tote bins including emptying tote bin fines when required.
- Carrying out cleaning and minor repair and maintenance work in the warehouse and other site areas as required.
- Holiday cover for the Blending shed operator and to assist at peak times.
- Safe and clean production of animal feed and other Company produce.
- Safe operation of Company machinery and vehicles.
- Ensure the correct clothing and appropriate safety devices are worn at all times whilst carrying out your work.
- Must be able to work well on your own as well as part of a team.
