An established and growing manufacturer and installer within the building products sector is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and develop its manufacturing, installation and operational support functions. Backed by significant investment and ambitious growth plans, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion and requires a hands-on operational leader capable of driving performance, improving processes and building a scalable operation.

This role will take full responsibility for day-to-day operational performance across manufacturing, installation, planning and operational administration. You will lead from the front, ensuring products are manufactured, delivered and installed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards while developing the systems, people and processes needed to support long-term growth.

This position would suit an experienced Operations Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Site Operations Leader looking to make a visible impact within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead manufacturing, installation and operational support teams to deliver outstanding performance.
  • Drive improvements in productivity, efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure safe working practices and full compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
  • Develop and embed robust operational processes and controls.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Improve workflow, capacity planning and resource utilisation.
  • Work closely with sales, planning, procurement and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Reduce waste, rework and operational inefficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, coach and develop teams through regular performance management and development activities.
  • Support business growth by creating scalable operational systems and processes.
About You
  • Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or similar leadership role.
  • Experience within manufacturing, construction products, building materials, fenestration, joinery or a related operational environment would be highly advantageous.
  • A visible, hands-on leadership style with the ability to engage teams at all levels.
  • Strong track record of improving operational efficiency, productivity and quality performance.
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety within manufacturing and site-based environments.
  • Experience implementing operational controls, process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong people management and leadership capability.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of operational costs, margins and customer expectations.
  • Organised, resilient and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
