Baker Recruitment Group are pleased to be working alongside our client based in LS10. Due to continued business growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit a Team Leader to join this busy operation. Shift 4 on 4 off 6.00pm - 06.00am Pay rate £14.70ph
Responsibilities
- To take responsibility for the shift and managing the warehouse operation in the absence of the Shift Manager whilst being an active hands-on member of the team.
- Responsible for meeting KPIs regarding cost, dock waste and delivery.
- To communicate effectively with the Transport Operations Team to ensure all vehicles leave on time.
- To lead by example.
- To ensure all administrative tasks for the warehouse operation are completed where appropriate.
Warehouse
- To ensure orders are picked accurately.
- To ensure goods-in are receipted in accordance with policy.
- Ensure all loads are checked and completed in full prior to despatch.
- Ensure all loads are secure prior to despatch.
- To ensure stock rotation is maintained at all times.
- To manually load and unload trailers.
- To confirm all inbound and outbound loads are accurate.
- To report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Shift Manager.
- To assist with stock cycle count.
- To ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
- To work efficiently to agreed timescales.
People Management
- To provide advice and guidance on issues to members of the warehouse team.
- To train shift employees to meet the required procedures and performance standards and ensure the training is correctly documented.
- To support the team’s performance targets and standards in a fair and consistent manner and report any performance issues to the Shift Manager.
- To understand the company absence procedure within the warehouse, including recording all absence and ensuring the completion of all relevant paperwork in the Shift Manager’s absence.
- To ensure that set break times are adhered to by shift staff.
- To motivate your team to achieve the highest levels of productivity.
