Job Purpose

We are now hiring for our site in Peterborough:

WELDER

To weld and fabricate various parts according to engineering drawings, contributing to our reputation for excellence in the food industry. This role is ideal for an individual with a recognized engineering apprenticeship and a strong foundation in welding and fabrication techniques.

Main Duties

  • Welding and Fabrication: Weld and manufacture large and small fabrications to a high standard within specified timeframes, using MIG, TIG, and MMA processes.
  • Material Handling: Work with mild and stainless-steel components, ensuring precision and quality in all fabrications.
  • Engineering Drawings: Interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team environment, offering improvement ideas and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

  • A recognised engineering apprenticeship in a relevant field (e.g., fabrication, welding) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and MMA welding processes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to quality and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • High degree of self-motivation and flexibility.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
