Job Purpose
To assemble complete machines and sub-assemblies to customer specifications, test finished equipment, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Main Duties
- You will be assembling machinery and sub-assemblies to customer specifications using engineering drawings and BOMs, while performing testing, pneumatic/hydraulic installations, and hand tool operations to ensure quality and compliance.
- Assembly Processes: Assembling kits of parts using engineering drawings and BOMs via the Epicor system; installing pneumatic/hydraulic pipework.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Assisting with setup/testing of equipment; completing test records; operating hand tools (drilling, grinding, sanding).
- Machinery Operation: Lifting components/assemblies using slings and pendant cranes (training provided if needed).
- Team Collaboration: Working within planned timelines; providing feedback on process/machine improvements; assisting other sections as required.
- Customer Support: Occasional on-site work for installation/commissioning or Customer Services teams.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintaining a tidy workspace; adhering to Health & Safety policies; registering daily time via ERP.
Candidate Profile
- Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
- Methodical approach; attention to quality; experience with hand tools and fine-tolerance fitting.
- A strong sense of self-motivation.
