We are looking for a technically excellent and ambitious corporate lawyer with between 2 and 5 years’ PQE keen to take on a rewarding associate role within a leading Corporate team.
Responsibilities include:
- Front-line support of deals, including drafting and negotiating documents, control of due diligence and disclosure exercises and closings.
- Managing projects to a budget and taking responsibility for client delivery and satisfaction.
- General corporate advisory work to provide continuing relationships with clients.
- Engaging in business development activities and promoting the Firm.
- Building peer-to-peer relationships within clients and intermediaries.
- Involvement in key industry sector activities (consumer; industrials; pharma/healthcare).
- Helping with pitch documentation and attending pitch meetings where appropriate.
- Assisting with the supervision of junior lawyers’ work and sharing knowledge and experience with the team.
Associates are given regular and direct contact with clients, with a culture based on associates being given the level of responsibility they are ready for, rather than a PQE based method of work allocation. There are regular opportunities for secondments with clients and potential posting to other offices under the Firm's associate transfer programme.
Skills and Requirements
- Current international and/or UK M&A experience in the corporate department of a leading firm.
- First rate technical skills needed to support the client work of the department.
- Commerciality.

- Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and take responsibility for this relationship.
