Be a Key Part of Our Fast-Moving Flexible Packaging Team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Packer to join our BakPac division – the fast-growing arm of our business that specialises in digitally printed flexible packaging. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient packing of finished products in accordance with customer specifications and company quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of a vibrant production team where your contributions will play a key part in maintaining product integrity and upholding operational efficiency throughout the packaging process.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Read and understand the packing spec for each job, including quantities per stack and stacks per box.
- Set up packing area, ensuring clean downs to avoid contamination from previous jobs.
- Assist the machine operator with initial job setup.
- Pack products accurately according to the spec, identifying and reporting any issues with quality to the Machine Operator.
- Conduct regular quality control checks on each stack to ensure consistency and high-quality output, referring to the quality sheet for common defects.
- Communicate any issues to the operator or supervisor, and separate defective pouches into the appropriate waste trays.
- Perform end-of-job procedures including final box handling, line clearance, and waste reporting.
