As an NPI Senior Systems Engineer - Subsea Control Systems, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to lead Subsea Control Systems Engineering activities on NPI programmes. You will be responsible for all technical aspects throughout the lifecycle of the programme developments, covering architecture, concept design, integration, Test and Acceptance of New Product Initiatives. You will work in a high-profile function of Baker Hughes, supporting the introduction of new technology.
Responsibilities- Supporting the design and development of NPI Subsea Control systems programmes using a Systems Engineering-based approach and conducting requirements management and analysis activities.
- Creating and maintaining requirement specifications, producing design review material and Functional Design Specifications, and flow down to sub-systems / products / components.
- Assessing and categorizing new technology and products to satisfy requirements and overall system design intent.
- Conducting derivation of system features for incorporation within the design, as well as definition and documentation of system interfaces.
- Supporting validation and verification activities for the overall product / system, including system level testing.
- Have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or an applicable engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Software).
- Have technical management experience within the System Engineering discipline.
- Possess technical expertise of technologies associated with subsea control systems and testing.
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering would be desirable.
- Have the availability to develop products with a Systems Engineering Based approach.
- Have Knowledge of appropriate and relevant Industry Specifications, Standards and Regulations.
- Have experience of systems engineering methodologies and processes e.g. INCOSE, ISO 15288.
