The Lead Knowledge Management System Specialist operates in a small team and is responsible for coordination of the development of the Knowledge Management (KM) systems used by Flexible Pipe Systems (FPS), part of the Oilfield Services and Equipment (OFSE) segment of Baker Hughes. The key system, developed in the last three years, uses MS SharePoint as the main knowledge sharing, document repositories, and a collaboration platform for business areas such as Engineering and employee support.
The Lead Knowledge Management System Specialist is responsible for:
- System architecture review and improvements; making use of Power Automate flows and Power Apps implementation; Power BI integration and support, access management and permissions;
- Introduction and integration of other applications deemed necessary across the system to facilitate functionality and efficiency;
- Business alignment with other applicable systems that manage and support Engineering and Quality;
- Meeting the demands from different teams within the business;
- Maintaining a strategic focus for the system, while aligning, sharing and adopting best practice with other parts of Baker Hughes;
- Content management, driving system efficiency through communication and teaching, and coordination/implementation of system upgrades and fixes, while supporting the continuing advancement and promotion of Knowledge Management best practices across all sites.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field;
- Excellent working and technical experience with MS SharePoint;
- Ability to write, analyze and fix MS Power Automate Flows, Power Apps, Power BI applications; understand the process behind coding and its application;
- A proven track record of operationalizing and administering SharePoint system for users;
- Strong communication, verbal and written, and interpersonal skills;
- An attitude of delivering and exceeding expectations for customers;
- Proficiency with MS Office 365 suite;
- An eagerness to learn, explore and promote opportunities for Knowledge Management across Baker Hughes;
- A fluency in Portuguese would be helpful;
- Willingness for international travel, if needed;
- Familiarity with Knowledge Management principles and methodology;
- Have a permanent work permit in the U.K.
