As an Electrical Technician, you will perform electro‑mechanical testing and assembly activities within a plant or shop‑floor environment. You will support the configuration, preparation, maintenance, and use of test stations and equipment, troubleshoot complex assemblies, and ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with formal procedures and competency requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, assembling, disassembling, testing, and visually inspecting electrical and electro‑mechanical assemblies
  • Performing electro‑mechanical testing and final assembly on equipment
  • Assisting with configuring, preparing, maintaining, and utilizing test stations and test equipment
  • Performing tests in accordance with instructions and documentation
  • Conducting light assembly of electronic components, wiring harnesses, connectors, mechanical assemblies, sensors, and PCBAs
  • Performing heat tests, final assembly, sensor assembly, and PCBA installation as required
  • Identifying and clearly communicating technical problems using logical troubleshooting techniques
  • Using test instruments such as multimeters, meg/ohmmeters, hi‑pot testers, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, electronic schematics, and parts lists
  • Following formal procedures, maintenance practices, and the competency management program
  • Performing complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction or documentation
  • Preparing basic documentation and supporting prototype assembly work
  • Working under administrative supervision while maintaining required competency assessments

Qualifications

  • Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferably have an AA degree or military training in electronics or a related field
  • Bring 3+ years of experience as an electronic or electro‑mechanical technician
  • Have working knowledge of electro‑mechanical components
  • Possess general knowledge of digital and analog circuit theory
  • Demonstrate advanced skills in soldering and electro‑mechanical assembly
  • Be able to perform component‑level troubleshooting
  • Have advanced computer skills and proficiency with diagnostic instruments
  • Be able to achieve and maintain required competency assessments
